RLS Land Solutions sells select fill and fill dirt from two pits we own in southeast Fort Bend County. We work out of Needville, and the material comes out of the ground on our property. Our excavators load it and our tandem dump trucks bring it to your job. Builders use the select fill under house pads, commercial pads and foundations. Ranchers buy fill dirt by the load for pond dams, lot fills and low spots. We sell bank sand and sandy loam out of the same pits. Tell us the material and the yardage and we can price the loads.
Fill dirt is not all the same, and the wrong material costs you twice. Select fill is a clay and sand blend that packs tight and holds a pad. Bank sand drains fast and works as bedding under slabs and around pipe. Sandy loam grows grass, so it goes on top after the shaping is done. We keep these separated at the pit and load what your plan calls for. If your engineer wrote a spec, read it to us and we can match the material.

Most fill dirt in this part of Texas moves through a broker. The broker buys from a pit, hires trucks, and resells the load to you. We are the pit. Our excavators dig the material and our drivers haul it. One company answers for the dirt and for the delivery. That keeps the price tied to the material and the haul distance. It also means we control the schedule. The material is already stockpiled and ready to load. When a builder calls at seven in the morning, we can often have trucks rolling that day.
Volume is what the pits are set up for. We run a fleet of tandem dump trucks and load with large excavators. The pits can load trucks by the hour, through the day and into the night. On jobs that call for it, we run three shifts and keep dirt moving around the clock. We have run that pace on solar sites covering thousands of acres. We also did dirt work on a data center project near Blessing. If your pad has to be built between two weather windows, give us the date.
Select fill is the material builders and engineers call for under pads and foundations. In the Houston area that usually means a low plasticity mix of clay and sand. It compacts in lifts, holds its shape, and moves less when the ground wets and dries. That matters here, because our soils swell and shrink with the seasons. Common fill, also called fill dirt, is cheaper material for bringing a low area up to grade. It belongs under a driveway approach or in a washed out spot, with select fill saved for the slab.
Bank sand is sand dug from the bank at our pits. It drains well and levels out smooth. Crews use it as bedding around pipe and under slabs. Sandy loam is the top layer material. It carries enough sand and organic matter to grow grass, so it goes on last. Each material has one job. Loam settles under a pad, and select fill makes poor ground for a lawn. We keep the stockpiles separate at the pit. Tell us what you are building and we will load the right one.
Our pits sit in southeast Fort Bend County, so the short hauls are Needville, Guy, Rosharon, Damon and Richmond. We run further out along Highway 36, US 59 and SH 288 into Brazoria, Wharton and Matagorda counties. That takes in Boling, Lane City, Wharton, El Campo, Blessing and down toward Lake Jackson. Haul distance is the biggest piece of what a load costs. A job twenty minutes from the pit prices better than one an hour out. Distance and volume set the trucking, so the address matters as much as the yardage.
Builders and developers buy most of the select fill we sell. They order by the pad, and a subdivision can run loads for weeks. Ranchers buy fill dirt and sandy loam for dam work, low pastures and building sites. Both order by the truckload. The orders we are set up for start in the tens of loads and climb into the hundreds. Our minimum for excavation work is around ten thousand dollars. Material sales price by the load. A call with the volume and the site address is enough to price it.

(281) 750-6510From the first look at the ground to the last pass of the grade, here is exactly how it goes.
We meet you at the property and read the job off the ground itself: what is growing, where water sits, how trucks and excavators get in. Big dirt work prices off what is really out there.
You get a free quote with a real number and a real plan: what gets dug or cleared, how many loads move, where the dirt comes from or goes. It holds unless the scope changes.
The equipment shows up when we said. Excavators dig, trucks run in rotation, and on deadline jobs we run shifts around the clock until the volume is moved.
The last pass matters as much as the first load. Pads compacted and holding elevation, ponds shaped and ready for water, ground graded so it drains. We look at the finished work with you before we leave.
